Community Organizations

The people of the Slocan Valley have a rich heritage of community organisation and accomplishments.

In rural areas like ours, people band together and do whatever needs to be done to make their community a great place to live.

The running joke here is that there are more societies, clubs and associations than there are people. Many people here wear 10 hats and live with someone else who wears another 10 hats.

Community organisations, however great their accomplishments, are continually looking for new blood to help them complete their goals and expand their services.
